Strictly's Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice say their bond is 'more than dancing'
In a new interview, Strictly's Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice have opened up about their bond and why they already feel like winners
Strictly's Rose and her dance partner Giovanni have opened up about their chemistry on the dancefloor and why their partnership is about more than just dancing.
Strictly contestants, Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice have been surrounded by rumors about the Strictly curse striking again as fans of the dance competition are convinced that the intimacy between the couple on the dancefloor is an indication of a romantic relationship outside of the dancefloor.
Although the couple has firmly denied these claims, in a new interview with The One Show, Giovanni revealed that their dance partnership is about more than just dancing as the pro dicussed the barriers the couple has broken down while on Strictly.
"I think for me and Rose it's definitely been from the beginning more than just about dancing," Giovanni told Lauren Laverne.
"I adapt myself a new way of teaching and obviously Rose has a different way of learning, but I think with the dance that we did, we definitely sent a very strong message to everybody for the Deaf community and we both feel already like winners," he said.
"Obviously, winning the Glitterball would be nice, like the cherry on the cake," added Giovanni with a laugh,"but we are very proud of what we are doing."

In the interview, Rose agreed with Giovanni and added that although she predicted their partnership would have an effect on the public, she didn't realize how much her participation in the show as the first deaf contestant would mean to people.

Rose announced, "I did want to break a barrier but I didn't realize how big it got. The scale is massive, so many people have signed up to learn sign language," said Rose.
"People are becoming more interested and people are becoming more aware—even celebrities using caption on their social media, so it's definitely got much bigger than I thought it would and I'm so proud of that."
Although there have been many rumors about the couple's Strictly chemistry, recently, Giovanni Pernice broke his silence on dating rumors between the pro dancer and his partner as he firmly shut down relationship rumors.
Although they may not be romantically involved, a body language expert has predicted this couple’s ‘strong bond’ will see them make the Strictly final, unlike some of the other couples in the competition who lack the intensity to win the final.
The Strictly final is now just around the corner and is expected to take place in just a few weeks. The next episode of Strictly Come Dancing is scheduled for Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 6.40 pm on BBC One.
