Janet Jackson's $9 million NYC apartment is on the market—here's what it looks like inside
Janet Jackson is looking to sell her apartment by Central park for nearly $9 million after buying it for $2.8 million back in 1998
Always wondered what celebrities' homes look like? Now you can—sort of. Superstar Janet Jackson has officially listed her Central Park-facing apartment for $8.99 million and the online listing features striking images of her soon-to-be former home.
Janet reportedly purchased apartment 34A at 1 Central Park West for $2.8 million back in 1998. Nearly 25 years later, the 2,094-square-foot space boasting three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms is on the market for much more than its original price.

“Whenever entering my apartment of 25 years, I always treasured my home’s wonderful location and the breathtaking views that capture the magic and excitement of New York," Janet said to the Wall Street Journal in an official statement about the real estate news. "Stepping through its threshold instantly made me feel so tranquil and at peace—so many memories."
A spokesperson also told the outlet that the star has not been at the apartment since 2019, before the onset of the pandemic.
Unsurprisingly, the corner apartment is stunning, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows all around, 10-foot ceilings, wood floors, central AC, and a lot of storage space.
Upon visiting the home, guests are treated to an entrance gallery that perfectly showcases the open-plan living and dining rooms.
The primary bedroom, which we assume Janet turned into her own, features spectacular views, multiple closets and a marble en-suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms—one currently set up as a guest room and the other as a library—also boast en-suite bathrooms.

But the sophistication isn't relegated to the apartment only. The beautiful building offers would-be tenants concierge services, a full-time doorman and the sorts of amenities that folks can only dream about—from valet and parking services to a state-of-the-art gym, a swimming pool, a gorgeous spa, housekeeping and, wait for it, 24-hour room service from iconic NYC restaurant Jean-Georges.
