Ruth Langsford has been forced to pull out of today’s instalment of This Morning.
The telly host, who usually presents the smash hit ITV morning show every Friday alongside husband Eamonn Holmes, won’t be appearing on screens today.
Instead of covering usual hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby alongside her hubby today, Ruth had to stay home because of illness.
Eamonn took to social media to share the sad news with fans of the iconic duo, explaining that Ruth would be amiss from today’s programme.
‘In 4 Ruth. The Bad News is Ruth a bit under the weather today 😒,’ the Irish TV favourite penned.
Revealing which famous face was stepping up to replace his wife in her absence, Eamonn shared a selfie of him and former popstar and mummy-of-three Rochelle Humes.
‘The Good news is Rochelle and I will pair up again😁. A delightful friend and colleague and Always a joy to be around,’ he sweetly added.
Lots of Ruth’s loyal fans took to the comment section to send her their get well soon wishes.
‘Hope ruth is better soon eamonn ❤️,’ one kindly wrote.
‘Be well ruth and safe x❤️,’ added another.
‘Love to Ruth 💕,’ added a third.
As the show aired, viewers took to Twitter to praise Eamonn and Rochelle for their great work together.
‘Eamon and Rochelle are showing Phil and Holly how it’s done. #thismorning,’ one joked.
‘It’s fortunate that Rochelle was available to stand in at short notice isn’t it,’ added another.
Others were impressed by Rochelle’s gorgeous fashion choices, after she took to Instagram to share a snapshot of her outfit for the presenting gig.
Posing in a pair of chic, cream culottes and a bright lilac vest teamed with a pair of neutral heeled sandals, Rochelle wrote, ‘Hi guys 👋🏽 Live at 10 @thismorning with @eamonnholmes ❤️.’
Swooning over the look, one commenter said, ‘Always looking amazing 😍.’
