Ruth Langsford shows off incredible lockdown hair transformation after 7am appointment at the salon

And she looks fabulous!

Ruth Langsford

People across the UK were overjoyed to see hairdressing salons open across the country.

And it looks like Ruth Langsford was first in line to get her hair seen to by a professional - after salons closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic in March (if you want to find a hair salon near you, here's a guide)

The TV presented couldn't wait to show off her new 'do, after heading to celebrity stylist Lee Bancroft's salon at 7am this morning, ready to "get my blonde on" (by the way, if you want some inspiration on bob hairstyles, like Ruth's, we've got a great guide).

Posting a video on Instagram, Ruth told followers, "Morning, yes I am finally here, I am at Leo Bancroft's Salon in Weybridge. Look I am the only one here at the moment, this is one of the rooms upstairs.

"All socially distanced, I've got my mask… getting these roots done finally, look how dark those are. Can't wait! I've got my own coffee, we're all set, I've got my mask… see you later!"

She showed fans around the salon, clearly very excited to be getting back in the hairdresser's chair.

She captioned the clip, 'EXCITING DAY!....back at @leobancroftsalon to get my blonde on with @steffmiller83 Well done @leobancroft Kirsty & all the staff for creating such a clean, safe environment....it's great to have you back!! Face mask gifted to me by the wonderful @helene_berman_london #supersaturday #hair #highlights #happy.'

Showing off her new golden 'do hours later, Ruth told the camera, "There we go, alldone, back home, blonde highlights done, cut by Leo!

"I was going to try and keep it as long as I could but I had so many split ends that I had to go a little bit shorter but it will grow!Just happy to have my blonde back."

Looking fabulous, Ruth!

Ruth's not the only one getting the salon treatment. Sir Kir Starmer also managed to get to the hairdressers today, posting on Facebook an image of himself in the chair and urging people to support local business.

We'll do our best!
