The brilliant way Ruth Langsford celebrated her 58th birthday
Ruth Langsford celebrated her 58th birthday with husband Eamonn Holmes and son Jack on Sunday with a belated birthday brunch.
This Morning host Ruth shared a number social media posts while dining at The Ivy Cobham Brasserie, a sister restaurant of posh celebrity hotspot The Ivy.
But it wasn't all caviar and lobster. Instead, Ruth chose to dine on steak, egg and chips for her birthday lunch - complete with a blob of tomato ketchup.
Sharing a shot of her special lunch, Ruth wrote: 'It's my birthday I'll have chips if I want to!'
Another social media post taken by her son Jack showed Ruth and Eamonn raising a glass whilst enjoying their lunch together.
Ruth - whose birthday actually fell on Saturday, explained why she was late to celebrate her big day in the caption.
She wrote: ‘As I was working all day yesterday Jack & Eamonn took me for a belated birthday lunch today. Cheers! Hang on.....my glass is empty!!!’

Former Strictly contestant Ruth was also lavished with gifts for her special day, sharing a video of her haul on her Twitter account.
The 40-second clip showed Ruth had been gifted several bottles of bubbly, some gorgeous bouquets of flowers, a Strictly-inspired cake, some Jo Loves items, a Neom candle, a gin and tonic candle, and another two cakes! What a lucky lady.
The star spent was busy filming for her new Channel 5 TV show Do the Right Thing, a consumer affairs programme, which she hosts with Eamonn, covers topics like the growing epidemic of loneliness in the UK, vishing fraud and the sale of energy drinks.
But it looks like the crew at Channel 5 made sure she celebrated the day in style, with Ruth posting a video of the flowers, balloons and a cake that they gifted her.
Fan were quick to wish her a happy birthday on social media, with one posting: ‘Happy Birthday Ruth , love your new show and you and Eamonn are fantastic on This Morning’.
Another wrote: ‘Aww happy birthday Ruth glad you had a nice time, hope you filled that glass up.’
The star has been busy recently, filming not just This Morning and Do the Right Thing but also creating her own range for QVC, which she regulars models on her Instagram page and wears on This Morning.
