Regé-Jean Page stole our hearts (and screens) starring as the Duke of Hastings in Netflix's hit period drama Bridgerton. The success of the star and show has been apparent since the show's release, but nothing confirmed it more than when Regé-Jean won the award for best actor during the NAACP Image Awards.

This award marks his first win as an actor in Bridgerton, and his excitement could hardly be contained as he was all smiles during the virtual ceremony.

The actor beat out Jonathan Majors of Lovecraft Country, Sterling K. Brown from This Is Us, Keith David in Greenleaf, and Nico Annan for his performance in P-Valley.

Bridgerton has become one of the most-watched series on Netflix and helped catapult Regé-Jean to fame. Not too long after the show aired, the actor had the chance to host SNL. He has also been labeled as the internet's boyfriend, stealing the hearts of viewers all over.

In the show, he plays the Duke of Hastings (also referred to as Simon), who starts off as the show's most eligible bachelor. As the show goes on, he soon finds that love is hard to outrun as he begins to fall for his friend Anthony Bridgerton's sister, Daphne Bridgerton. From there, it's a mess of gossip, love triangles, and drama.
