'Radiant' Hillary Clinton rocks Coastal Grandma trend at Venice Film Festival with blue caftan and comfy flats
Hillary Clinton looked effortlessly chic as she attended the premiere of White Noise at the 79th Venice International Film Festival
Hillary Clinton exuded Coastal Grandmother vibes at the 79th Venice Film Festival on Wednesday, effortlessly contrasting the red carpet with a cool blue caftan and white ballet flats.
The former secretary of state nailed the relaxed glamor look at the Italian awards show last night, swapping her signature pantsuit for a billowing dress and comfy shoes.
The 74-year-old took an unexpected break from her busy schedule to attend the world premiere of Netflix's White Noise ‒ and to seemingly experiment with TikTok's latest fashion craze, the Coastal Grandmother trend.
Hillary smiled for cameras ahead of the horror comedy's debut screening, rocking a beaded, pale blue caftan and a pair of white ballet flats for her first red carpet event since the 2022 Met Gala in May. She polished off the outfit's beachy aesthetic with two bangle bracelets and chunky silver hoop earrings, whilst letting her hair sweep loosely onto her shoulders.
Fashion fans were quick to compliment the US politician online, with one Twitter user praising Hillary's glowing ensemble as 'radiant'. The outfit had striking similarities to those found in the Coastal Grandmother or Coastal Grandma trend, which has been circulating heavily on social media in recent months.
Oversized silhouettes in soft colors are a staple of the vacation look, making Hillary well up-to-date with the top fashion trends of 2022. She also wore the caftan, a garment that originated in Asia and is today worn in multiple cultures around the globe, for the New York wedding of Sophie Lasry in August 2017.

Hillary has been notably more involved with showbiz in recent months, as she prepares for the exciting premiere of her upcoming documentary series, Gutsy. The former US Presidential nominee has teamed with her daughter, Chelsea Clinton, to host and executive produce the AppleTV+ production about 'the world's boldest and bravest women'.
