Piers Morgan reveals controversial secret to his 10-year marriage
Piers Morgan has revealed what he thinks is the secret to marriage – and it’s quite questionable.
The TV presenter, who is known for his controversial views and interview tactics, appeared on breakfast show Good Morning Britain earlier today alongside his co-host Susanna Reid.
During the show, the presenting duo briefly chatted to fellow ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly who dialled in from her studio.
The Good Morning Britain with Lorraine host gave the TV duo a heads up about her upcoming segments, with one named ‘lockdown relationship advice’.

“How are you getting on with your partner right now?” Lorraine asked viewers, giving an intro about her segment. “Are they annoying you? Do they interrupt you all the time? Are they being intensely irritating? We have some advice for you about all of that”.
Susanna joked, “can you share it now?” as she looked at co-host Piers, who she recently opened up about when discussing the pair’s TV marriage.

But in response to Lorraine’s segment, Piers decided to contribute a piece of relationship advice that he was once given.
The journalist, who just last week celebrated his 10-year anniversary with wife Celia Walden, revealed “the best advice about marriages and relationships” he’s ever received was from French singer Charles Aznavour who Piers interviewed just before he passed away back in 2018.
Revealing that he spoke to the star during “his last television interview,” which he admitted he “was so lucky to get before he very sadly died”, Piers said, “I said to him ‘you’ve been married for 50/60 years or something like that, so what’s the secret?’
“And he said ‘one of you has to shut up’, which actually if you think about it is great advice.
“If you’re arguing just one of you shut up and just take it”.
On hearing the controversial piece of advice, fellow ITV host Lorraine nodded and gestured to Piers saying “yeah”, while Piers’ TV wife Susanna looked over and said “Piers, listen to Charles”.

Piers retorted to his co-hosts, saying, “Yeah, one of you should shut up…Susanna”.
Interesting advice Piers!
