Pamela Anderson reclaims life story with Netflix special after lack of consultation for Pam & Tommy
Pamela Anderson is reclaiming her life story with a new Netflix special after it was revealed that she found Pam & Tommy 'very painful'
Pamela Anderson reclaims life story as it is announced that she will be teaming up with Netflix to create a brand new documentary about her life—but this time from her perspective, and with her consent.
A post from Netflix announced that Pamela Andreson has teamed up with the streaming platform to create a documentary about her life.
The platform announced, "Pamela Anderson is ready to tell her story in a new documentary. The film, which has been in the making for several years, will feature the pop culture icon setting the record straight as she looks back on her professional path and her personal journey."
The statement from Pamela herself read, "My life. A thousand imperfections. A million misperceptions. Wicked, wild, and lost. Nothing to live up to. I can only surprise you. Not a victim, but a survivor, and alive to tell the real story."

Lily James' shock transformation into Pamela Anderson drove fans wild and many said that the actress gave a faithful portrayal of Pamela's story.
However, Pamela Anderson refused to be a part of the Pam and Tommy series and did not profit from the dramatization of her life story. It was reported that Lily James made numerous efforts to speak to Pamela, but it is believed that all of her calls went unanswered as Pamela was not interested in this project.
"The upcoming Pam & Tommy Hulu series has been very painful for Pamela Anderson and for anyone that loves her," a source told ET. They added, "It is shocking that this series is allowed to happen without her approval."

The Hulu series focused on Pamela's relationship and marriage to Tommy Lee, an American musician and member of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. The series also heavily focused on the release of the couples' private sex tape which had a major effect on Pamela's career and resulted in frames from their tape appearing in Penthouse magazine in 1995.
Fans are excited about this upcoming documentary and many are pleased that Pamela has finally been given the opportunity to tell her own story.
"Oh look! the right way to tell someone’s story!" said one fan at the announcement. "I'd watch this over the Hulu series that was done without her blessing," said another.
A third fan added, "Now this something worth watching AND with her consent."
