Most memorable award show trip-ups EVER as Anne-Marie falls at the BRITs
Whether its falls at the BRITs or trip-ups at the Oscars, plenty of stars have been left red-faced by award show stumbles
It's undeniable that some of the most iconic showbiz moments ever have been born thanks to the nature of live award shows being fraught with the potential for epic blunders—from falls at the BRITs, slips at the Oscars and THAT Gemma Collins stage tumble from the Radio 1 Teen Awards.
And last night, as the 2022 BRIT Awards graced our screens. While fans were left wondering if Adele is engaged when she stepped out with a giant rock on her ring finger or when she set tongues wagging with her acceptance speech, she wasn't the biggest talking point of the night.
Who fell at the BRITs 2022?
Anne-Marie joined Madonna on the list of stars who have suffered seriously painful-looking falls at the BRITs last night when she took a tumble during her performance.
The British songstress lost her balance, twisted her ankle and fell down a small flight of stairs on the stage as she began singing but expertly played it off and continued performing like a trooper.

Meanwhile, she left her Twitter followers laughing as she posted, "Didn’t need my left ankle anyway."

In 2015 Madonna fell at the BRITs during a performance of Living For Love. The performance shake-up happened when the billowing black cape on Madge's costume became caught and pulled by a backing dancer, causing her to topple backwards down the stage steps.
Madonna's BRITs fall quickly became known as one of the most well-known moments in the award show's history and to this day fans of the star commend Mads, who was recently labeled a 'control freak' by her daughter, for keeping calm and carrying on after the nasty trip.
"This isn't acknowledged nearly enough. She fell HARD and she didn't miss a single beat. This is a MASTER CLASS in entertainment and strength," one supporter wrote on her official YouTube page recently.
Another agreed, penning, "This performance sums up M's entire career. She gets knocked down- then she gets back up and shows the world why she is the Queen of Pop. Excellent performance. She is such a bad as*!!!!!"
When did Jennifer Lawrence fall at the Oscars?
It's not just falls at the BRITs that have created some of the most memorable award show moments.
Jennifer Lawrence's trip at the 2013 Oscars became equally as iconic when her embarrassing moment went viral.
The Hunger Games star lost her footing in amongst the puffiness of her Dior gown as she headed up on stage to collect her Oscar for Best Actress in Silver Linings Playbook.
Following the stumble, J Law laughed it off and accepted the coveted trophy before telling her A-lister pals, "You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell and that's really embarrassing!"
When did Gemma Collins fall off stage?
Any die hard reality fan will remember when Gemma Collins fell off stage at the 2017 Radio 1 Teen Awards, tumbling down a trap door when she was announcing the winner of the Best TV Show award.
As the GC yelled that Love Island had won, the former TOWIE star stepped sideways and crashed down into a hole in the stage she had no idea was there.

Speaking about the mortifying telly moment to Keith Lemon in 2020, Gemma admitted she was nearly seriously hurt and that the scary commotion made her wet herself.
"Yeah my legs nearly got cut off and that’s not a lie. I got a bit excited when I was giving the award.
"I’m at Wembley Stadium, the crowd is screaming. I love Love Island, I was screaming 'Love Island', and I got so excited I spun around, not realising they’re coming from the bottom of the stage," Gemma explained.
"I fell on four of the Love Islanders, I nearly killed them and the cameraman started shouting ‘we’re gonna get her legs cut off, get her up!’"
