Married at First Sight UK fans are obsessed with one of the supporting cast members of the show as Thomas's mum has a hilarious reaction to finding out her son is marrying a stranger and came out with some cracking one-liners.

Married at First Sight UK started with a bang on Monday, August 29, 2022, and fans were delighted when the drama quickly ensued as the couples began to get married. The second episode introduced Liverpudlian Thomas who was set to marry Adrian later in the episode. But before the pair got hitched Thomas had to reveal to his parents that he would be marrying a stranger.

"I am getting married...to a stranger," Tom told his parents. "Are you f**k," responded his mother Helen immediately as she added, "so hang on a minute what do you mean stranger?" Tom then explained he was taking part in the show Married At First Sight. "Absolute f**kin' knobhead," responded his mum.

Despite the shock, Helen agreed that she would support Thomas no matter what and even laughed and claimed she was feeling a bit of 'hysteria' because of the sudden surprise.

Fans loved this hilarious response and many took to social media to claim that Helen was in fact an 'icon'. Later in the episode, Helen made another hilarious comment as she asked Adrian's best friend Katie 'do you work for Channel 4?' This quip was a clever response to Katie after she asked Thomas an endless number of questions during the wedding dinner, which many compared to an interrogation.

Channel 4 even responded to this hilarious moment on social media as they tweeted, "I can assure you, Katie does not work for Channel 4. Although she would be fab in the news department #MAFSUK."

Fans are eagerly awaiting the third episode of the show which will air on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. It was hinted in the episode preview that perhaps there would be some couples who were already straying from their marriage. 

One fan of the show tweeted, "Sorry what was that .. April cheated on honeymoon - no way please that must be some kind of savage edit please now @PaulCBrunson tell us it’s not true #MAFSUK."
