Madonna has embraced a more minimalist travel lifestyle, ditching a luxury getaway for a simple staycation. This summer, she enjoyed a private family barbecue from the comfort of a silver campervan.
The van life travel trend is taking over the UK and it looks like Madonna is one of the first celebrities hopping onto it. The singer took to Instagram to share a video and series of photos documenting her lighthearted family gathering, which included her boyfriend Ahlamalik Williams and her children Lourdes Leon, Rocco Ritchie, David Banda, Mercy James, and twins Stella Ciccone and Estere Ciccone.
Her most recent post features the singer decked out in fishnets, a cowgirl hat, light wash denim shorts, and a light pink three-quarter sleeve top. The outfit perfectly described the tone of the montage as we see Madonna dancing and snippets of her children enjoying themselves.
The barbecue was complete with a large pink flamingo floatie, lawn chairs, and a small grill which Madonna made sure to strike a sultry pose with. The singer looked carefree as she let her hair down while spending time with family. High fashion was also added into the mix as her twin daughters posed with their mom in matching vibrant one-piece bathing suits.
Her mini vacation comes after purchasing a new mansion previously owned by another star: The Weekend. Rather than celebrate the summer with a barbeque at home, she opted to take the top scenic routes for the ultimate staycation. The Material Girl singer is often seen posting family get togethers on her Instagram, but this one shows glamping at its finest. Family time has always been a top priority for the star, which can be seen on her social media feed as she takes every opportunity she can to share photos and videos with her children. That also includes last month when her children got together to celebrate Father’s Day.
