Loose Women stars make 'powerful' statement on NTA's red carpet
It was one of the most glamorous nights in the TV calendar last night, as some of the UK's best-known stars took to the red carpet at the National Television Awards.
And so of course, joining the ranks was the presenters of ITV daytime show Loose Women, who were nominated alongside This Morning and Good Morning Britain for Best Daytime Show.
But although the ladies didn't manage to scoop the award, they did make a powerful statement on the red carpet on their way in to the ceremony.

Ahead of the evening, Nadia Sawalha revealed that she and the other panellists planned to walk the red carpet together, holding hands and standing in a line, as a symbol of female empowerment.
She also revealed that many of them feel nervous with the cameras snapping away, so doing it together and "united", made it "fun" for all of them.
Nadia confessed, "A lot of us do feel nervous about the red carpet.

"When you think about everything that has gone on, there has been so much about women power over the past year, I think there is something really powerful about us all going together and holding hands united."
She continued, "I absolutely hate red carpets more than anything else in the world but the thing that makes the NTAs fun is that it is the Loose Women going out together – we love going out together."
The ladies all also opted to dress in matching black trousers suits, perhaps making a subtle nod to the move many Hollywood stars made last year to wear black on the red carpet, as a reference to the #MeToo movement.
However, Andrea McLean was noticeably absent from the red carpet, revealing to her Instagram followers that she'd actually missed it because of "car chaos".
Sharing a picture of her NTA's outfit, she said, "Gutted I missed the @loosewomen red carpet line up because of car chaos! 😩".
It's not clear whether Andrea was delayed by traffic or a backlog of people getting to the awards, but luckily she managed to make it to the actual ceremony - phew!
