Line of Duty star Vicky McClure opens up on cast fall-outs behind the scenes
She reveals they do sometimes annoy each other, but have a ‘perfect dynamic’
Line of Duty’s Vicky McClure has revealed that behind the scenes of the hit drama, there are sometimes fall-outs between co-stars - but like "with family" they're never so bad it’s “not repairable”.
Fans of the BBC show had hardly been able to contain their excitement since the release date for Line of Duty Season 6 was first announced. And when star Adrian Dunbar shared that there was a pretty serious twist in store in the opening of Season 6, our interest was really peaked. After all, who doesn’t want to settle down with their best pillow and blanket and figure out the ultimate puzzle - who is H in Line of Duty?
We may well get an answer this season, but even before we do, the investigative exploits of anti-corruption officers, DI Kate Fleming, Superintendent Ted Hastings, and DS Steve Arnott will surely keep us hooked throughout. Fans love the on-screen relationship between these central three characters in particular.
Now DI Fleming actor Vicky McClure has opened up about life behind the scenes of Line of Duty- and it seems that whilst they have a "laugh", they have also definitely been known to annoy each other...

As reported by The Mirror, Vicky stated: “You can have a laugh and if anything it’s Adie who gets the brunt of it having to put up with me and Martin acting like a pair of school kids around him. There’s a perfect dynamic.
“The reality of it is of course we have, of course we have p***** each other off. It would be wrong of me to say ‘that has never happened’ as that would be a lie.”
However, she reportedly shared that it’s no “big drama” and went on to explain that “in the same way it is with family, it’s never something so bad it’s not repairable.”

Discussing the potential reasons for any bickering, she said: “I might not have had any sleep that night.
“He might not have had any sleep or loads of lines to learn, you get up to set you are knackered, there’s a lot going on.”

Regardless of what might sometimes go on behind-the-scenes, the on-screen magic between Vicky, Adrian, and Martin’s characters never fails to keep fans gripped.
According to The Mirror, the first episode of Line of Duty Season 6 reportedly pulled in 9.6 million viewers, thought to be the greatest audience in the show’s history.
And with Season 6 featuring an extra episode compared to the usual six, there’s plenty more drama, betrayals, and revelations to come.
