Lifetime greenlights new movie titled 'Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace'
Lifetime to release new film 'Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace' that covers the couples recent step back from royal duties
Lifetime has just announced that they will be releasing a new film titled Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace. The film will look at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepping back from their royal duties and moving to the US.
This new film will be the third Lifetime movie that covers the Royal couple’s life. In 2018 Lifetime released 'Harry & Meghan' and in 2019 they premiered 'Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal'.
Deadline states that the film will “reveal what really happened inside the palace that drove Harry and Meghan to leave everything behind in order to make a future for themselves and their son Archie.”
Deadline also reported that this film will look not just at Meghan and Harry, but also at other members of the royal family. Deadline reports, “Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace will also look at the private family feuds between Will and Harry, Kate and Meghan, and Harry with Will and Charles, that lead to the ultimate break from the Royal ties.”

Allegedly, the new film will also explore how the death of Princess Diana affected Prince Harry. Deadline states, “It will detail Meghan’s growing isolation and sadness, their disappointment that ‘The Firm’ was not defending them against the press’s attacks and Harry’s fear that history would repeat itself and he would not be able to protect his wife and son from the same forces that caused his mother’s untimely death.”
Fans of the Royals are already excited. One fan said on Twitter, “Oop this is the first and only time I will be watching a lifetime movie.” Some Royal fans however have expressed that they think Netflix has the market cornered when it comes to Royal Family drama. One fan commented, “No leave this for the crown,” on the announcement of the new Lifetime film.

Some fans are already questioning who might be cast in this new film. One fan said, “Who is playing Oprah?!! Because I know they’ll be a segment about that interview.” Others had ideas about who should be cast as the Royal couple, "they should cast Ed Sheeran as prince Harry," suggested one fan.
