Duchess of Cambridge receives new nickname from royal fans in heartwarming nod to Princess Diana
The Duchess of Cambridge has earned an affectionate nickname from her fans that is reminiscent of the nickname given to her late mother in law, Princess Diana.
The future Queen consort has long been interested in early years development, which she has passionately shown through her patronage work.
Catherine, who is mum to Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four and one-year-old Prince Louis, recently launched a new survey focused on getting Britons to share their views on how to best raise the next generation.
To launch the project, the Duchess of Cambridge toured the country to meet mothers and children for honest talks on how to improve children's development.
Now, her commitment to her work with children has earned the Duchess a new nickname, which is spookily similar to Princess Diana, who was known as the 'People's Princess' because of her charity work and connection to the British public.
Catherine is now being referred to as the 'Children's Princess' because of her love for children.
Comments from fans on the Cambridges Instagram account include, 'Children's Princess! Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge and our future Queen!'

Another fan wrote, 'Catherine is definitely the children's princess.'
A third commented, 'Duchess Catherine truly is a Children's Princess.'
Last week, the Duchess surprised nursery pupils at LEYF Stockwell Gardens Nursery and Pre-School in London with a breakfast of milk, cereal and fruits and discussed with trainee chefs how important it is for children's development to provide children with nutritious meals.
The Duchess said, 'It’s great to visit places like this where communities come together to support one another.
'Last week I launched a UK wide survey on early childhood because I want to hear society’s views about raising the next generation.'
You're doing an amazing job, Catherine!
