‘I’m so heartbroken’ - Louise Redknapp latest pain as she mourns the loss of family dog she rescued with ex husband Jamie
RIP Corky!
The singer is left saddened by the loss of the family's beloved rescue dog
Louise Redknapp has revealed her latest heartache after her beloved family rescue dog Corky passed away, aged six.
It is not yet known what Corky died from but it comes after Michelle Keegan warned of the dangers of this snack to dogs.
The singer, who has two Shar Peis called Rudi, adopted Corky, with ex-husband Jamie Redknapp from Cyprus in 2016 when he was just aged two.
He had been abandoned on a doorstep when he was just six weeks old before being rescued by London-based charity the Wild and Heart Foundation.

She recalled some of his best features when she wrote, "I’m gonna miss the howling when there is someone coming in the house, the drool on the floor when there is food around and the big cuddles on the sofa."
And Louise gave thanks to the charity for their help with the adoption process that led to him being part of the family and added, "we adored him from the moment we got him. We will miss you so much sleep tight our beautiful boy love you forever 💔 xxx"
And the rescue charity sent their love. They commented, "We’re so sorry to hear this@louiseredknapp, and we’re sending lots of love your way. You gave Corky THE most wonderful life, and he knew right until the end just how loved he was - you know where we are ❤️"

Louise uploaded a series of snaps of her with Corky, the first shows he puckering up to kiss him, the second shows them cuddling as Louise held up her palm with the number 11 written on it in pen, and another of them together with Louise wearing a baseball cap. The final two images showed Corky sat obediently outside and on the landing of her home.
Louise had created an Instagram account for the dogs back in March so fans could follow their adventures - pet social media accounts are just one of the many cat and dog crazes taken pet lovers by storm.
Louise notified followers of the loss. The tribute read, "We’re so sad to let all our lovely followers know that yesterday we said goodbye to our brother Corky 💔 Our hearts are broken, we’ll miss that big tail wagging, the puddles of drool on the floor when there is food around and that howl when someone comes in the house... sleep tight gorgeous boy, we’ll always love you forever and we were so lucky to have you for the time we did xxx"
Jamie is yet to pay tribute to Corky on his social media, but Louise's friends and fans have been sending their support. Martine McCutcheon wrote, "I’m so sorry darling. Sending you and the family so much love" and Louise's former 9to5 The Musical Co-star Brian Conley added, "So sorry to hear about Corky."
