I’m A Celebrity 2021 returns to Wales and fans are divided
I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here has confirmed return to Gwrych Castle in Wales instead of Australia
Fans have been left divided over I’m A Celebrity's 2021 return to Gwrych Castle, as the show opts for North Wales for the second year in a row to avoid travelling to Australia.
ITV said, "ITV today announces that the forthcoming 21st series of I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! will return to the historic Gwrych Castle, Abergele in North Wales."
I'm a Celebrity was filmed at Gwrych Castle in 2020 as the Pandemic made travelling to Australia—where the show is typically filmed—very challenging. It was thought that the cast and the backstage team would be better off staying in the UK and avoided travelling abroad.

Although the news of I'm A Celebrity's return has been celebrated by fans, not everyone is pleased by the announcement of the filming location.
One fan said on Twitter, “#ImACeleb Shame it's not going back to Australia. It was alright in Wales but just wasn't the same.”
"Really sad about #imaceleb not returning to Australia," said another.

"Sigh. It’ll do, but that’s a huge shame. Was nowhere near as entertaining last year than it is usually." The social media user continued, "Obviously Australia’s very strict COVID protocols have meant this has been enforced again but the show really needs to return there as soon as they can. #ImACeleb"

However, other viewers of the show were a bit more upbeat about this announcement.
“#ImACeleb in Wales isn't a bad thing I loved it last year,” said one positive fan.
"I'm with ITV on this one. With all the lockdowns going on in Australia they can't really plan anything. Best to have it in Wales than not at all," another chimed in.
Some fans went so far as to say that they preferred the Welsh castle to the Australian Jungle.

"I'm so glad about this, I actually preferred the Castle! #ImACeleb," commented one fan.
"Good to see that ITV have confirmed that #ImACeleb is returning to Wales this year. More of a guarantee that it’ll happen and it worked so well last year at Gwrych Castle that it’s definitely not a lesser option. Can’t wait to see who they’ve booked," said another.

ITV have yet to confirm which celebrities will be stepping into the Castle this year, but fans are already speculating that certain soap stars could be making an appearance.
It has been reported that Jake Wood, who is best known for playing Max Branning in EastEnders could appear on I'm a Celebrity.
A source told The Sun, "He would love to go into the jungle. He thinks it would be a great challenge for him and he has of course seen how well other EastEnders stars have done."
Of course, nothing has been confirmed yet, but fans love to guess which of their favorite celebrities could go in.
Love Island star Tommy Fury, who found love on the ITV2 show with fellow islander Molly-Mae Hague, has currently 3/1 odds at Betfair of him participating in I'm A Celebrity.
In June 2021, Coral also gave Matt Hancock, the former Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, odds of 4/1 for an I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
ITV has yet to announce if any of these rumors are true, but in the meantime, we can all think of a few people we might like to see eat cockroaches!
