Gwyneth Paltrow celebrates her 48th birthday by posing in the nude - and her daughter's reaction is hilarious

Gwyneth Paltrow has posted a picture of herself in the nude to celebrate her birthday, taking the meaning of 'birthday suit' quite literally.

The actress and founder of the Goop empire posted a picture on Instagram with the caption,'In nothing but my birthday suit today... thank you all so much for the birthday wishes and thank you to @goop‘s insanely amazing brand new body butter for making me think I can still get my kit off. 💙#goopgenes'

Gwyneth looks happy and relaxed in her garden, wearing nothing but a wrist watch. She attributes feeling so comfortable in her own skin partially down to her brand's new body butter, which she calls 'insanely amazing'.

Fellow celebrities were quick to comment on the picture. Courtney Cox wrote, 'Happy Birthday! What a beautiful girl you are and inspiring in so many ways. ♥️'

While talent manager Guy Oseary said, 'Happy Birthday my friend. Even though we are born days apart you will always be 6 days older and years wiser. When this covid thing is over we can celebrate our birthdays together with a good ol 80’s dance 💃 🕺🏻 .. Have a great one. 🎂'

Not everyone was happy about the post however. Gwyneth's teenage daughter, Apple, had a less than positive response.Gwyneth shares Apple, 16, and Moses, 14, with her ex Chris Martin.

Apple simply commented, "MOM". Looks like someone's a little embarrassed...
