Giovanni Pernice's tattoo is a sweet tribute to Strictly partner Rose Ayling-Ellis

Giovanni Pernice's tattoo has been done to pay tribute to his Strictly Come Dancing partner, Rose Ayling-Ellis.

The 31-year-old hunk took to Instagram to show off his latest inking, which is of a glitterball with the letter’s SCD (for Strictly Come Dancing) and the date they lifted the trophy, December 18 2021. 

Alongside the picture he wrote, “We are the champions, we are the champions” and tagged the show’s first-ever deaf contestant, Rose, in the post. 

Rose Alying-Ellis has been tipped for huge job success following the show but is taking some time out of acting to join Giovanni on the Strictly Come Dancing live tour. And the pair are thrilled to be reunited after just a few weeks apart.

“It’s nice to dance with you again,” Giovanni said on Instagram. To which Rose replied, “Yeah, it’s lovely to dance again and it brings back happy memories.”

It comes after Rose Ayling-Ellis gushed that Giovanni is the most wonderful human being ever and called him a “best friend for life”.

In a social media post, Rose gushed about her dance partner and revealed that it was his hard work that helped her win the competition. 

"I'm dedicating this post to the most wonderful human ever, Giovanni. The person who was there every day with me for four months, who knows truly what this journey has been for me, the reason why I have become confident within myself," said Rose in the caption. 

"He came into my world and brought the best out of me. I cannot thank him enough for all the work and effort to make me become the dancer that I am today. Winning the Glitterball is the best gift I could ever give to Giovanni because he really deserves it. I am beyond proud of us. I never thought I would leave Strictly with a best friend for life, thank you Gio."

Fans begged Giovanni and Rose to get together during the series, despite the fact Rose has a long-term boyfriend.

It’s clear these two are just the best of friends.
