Author James Patterson is continuing his deep dive into the story behind the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. However, his latest project will not center around Jeffrey but instead will delve into his former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell's involvement in the sexual abuse scandals.

This will be James' second project surrounding Jeffrey's life after the first one titled Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich captivated audiences back in 2020. This latest series will be called Chasing Ghislaine and was announced just as she goes to trial.

What is Chasing Ghislaine about?

The docu-series will aim to investigate and expose “the mystery behind Epstein’s wealth and influence and how Maxwell’s alleged role within this conspiracy threatens a shadowy cabal of international elite and world leaders who might do anything to keep their identities—and motives—hidden,” according to a statement from Discovery+ for The Hollywood Reporter.

Bestselling author and journalist Vicky Ward was is currently conducting over 30 interviews that will be featured in the series and a podcast of the same name. Vicky's involvement brings some significance as she and Ghislaine used to run in the same social circles before Ghislaine was indicted.

When does Chasing Ghislaine premiere on Discovery+?

Right now, no official date for the show has been announced, but in a statement, Discovery Inc. said the show was expected to premiere in 2021. So, we should have it by December at the latest if no production halts occur.

When does Ghislaine go to trial?

The British socialite is set to go to trial in November for being an alleged co-conspirator in the sexual abuse scandals with Jeffrey Epstein. She pled not guilty to six counts of sex trafficking charges (one of which included perjury). Her other counts also include involvement in luring minors to travel and engage in sexual acts and transporting minors for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity.
