Eva Mendes reveals how her and husband Ryan Gosling share the household chores
The couple have been together for over ten years and had two children together
When you're part of a couple there always seems to be arguments about who does the chores - but not in the Mendes and Gosling household.
Eva Mendes favorite skincare tool keeps her looking fresh, and it turns out she keeps her home life fresh by a very clear boundary regarding chores. Eva, who is married to the Notebook star, admits that Ryan loves cooking, while she's happy doing the dishes and cleaning.
The self-labeled 'kitchen freak' says that doing the dishes is 'meditative' for her, especially as life is very chaotic with two children and a busy career.
Talking to PEOPLE magazine admitted, "Life is so chaotic. But the one thing I can control is my house, my kitchen. So when I do the dishes it's meditative for me. It really goes deeper than just cleaning up. It really gives me clarity. Clean sink equals clear mind for me."
The Hitched actress, who is the co-owner of a cleaning company, Skura Style, which has dubbed their antimicrobial sponges 'smart sponges', also spoke about who does the cooking in their house - and it's definitely not her slaving over a hot stove.
"Ryan's the cook. He's an incredible cook, I think that there's a really nice balance to 'you cook, I clean.' And it just works for us," she reveals - and it's made us fall in love with the star that bit more.

Ryan, who is set to star in the new Barbie movie as Ken, with Margot Robbie taking the lead role, is apparently a very good cook. Back in 2020, Eva shared, via an Instagram comment to fans, that “Ryan is an amazing chef AND baker. For reals. Incredible. No joke."

“I’m not sure that what I do is cooking. It’s more like steaming veggies and juicing and making rice. He really cooks. I survive," she joked.
While the interview with PEOPLE also revealed why she likes to keep a tidy house, "Growing up in a tiny, tiny apartment with a lot of people, we didn't have anything. But when the house was clean, it was like, 'Hey, I just feel better.' Everybody felt better. So for me, it's really emotional."
Eva still looks amazing, and this could be thanks to her skincare routine - according to a facialist, who says the actress is known for wearing anti-ageing skincare products.
