Drew Barrymore sends Leonardo DiCaprio fans into a frenzy with flirty comment
Drew Barrymore sent Leonardo DiCaprio the cheeky message after he called on world leaders to tackle the climate emergency
Drew Barrymore has Leonardo DiCaprio's fans heated after posting a cheeky—and maybe even flirtatious—comment on his recent Instagram post.
The American actress has never been one to hold back her true feelings and that’s precisely why we love her. Drew revealed her secret crush on the Titanic star yesterday, responding to one of his latest social media updates with a rather risqué remark.
Leonardo’s post warned his 49m Instagram followers of the dangers of global warming, emphasizing the impact that even minor temperatures changes could have on the environment. “The difference between 1.5C, 2C or 3-4C average global warming can sound marginal. In fact, they represent vastly different scenarios for the future of humanity,” he wrote.

The Oscar-winner went onto explain how “the frequency of disasters, the survival of plants and animals, the spread of diseases, the stability of our global climate system and—ultimately—the possibility for humanity” all hinge on these increases in temperature. He concluded the post with a call to action, urging all countries to commit to reaching the 1.5C goal of the Paris Agreement over the next decade.
The powerful message appears to have struck a chord with Leo’s fans, prompting many of them to praise the actor for his ongoing commitment to tackling the climate emergency. Drew also jumped in to voice her support, thanking her fellow Hollywood heavyweight for being “the pioneer of saving our earth.”
The affectionate words didn’t end there, though. Always the comedian, Drew didn't miss the opportunity to grab Leo's attention with a flirtatious pun. “You should be the only hot one, and not our planet!” she added, much to the hysteria of the environmentalist’s fans.

“LIVING for this comment 😂 You’re a real one, Drew,” one delighted follower wrote.
“I couldn't agree more than this😂🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍,” another person posted.
Others were just happy to see the two A-listers discuss the timely subject on a public platform. “Gosh I love you. My favorite female actor speaking about my favorite male actor 👌🏼 THANK YOU BOTH for caring about the EARTH,” one gracious fan wrote.
This isn't the first time the 50 First Dates star has had an exchange with a handsome male actor. Drew Barrymore revealed she drunkenly “made out” with Hugh Grant for “10 minutes” at New York clubhouse, in a hilarious anecdote that left her fans in tears of laughter.
While the Instagram shout out might be surprising to some, Drew and Leo aren't exactly strangers to each other. The pair, who reportedly met back in the 90s at the beginning of their careers, cross paths every now and then through their mutual friend Cameron Diaz.
Drew even revealed on an episode of her talk show back in April that she once visited Leo’s house, admitting she was highly impressed by the interior of his mansion. “His taste is impeccable, his art collection's to die for,” she recalled.
Leo has yet to respond to Drew's Instagram comment, but we're sure he's just busy crafting the perfect reply.
