Clare Balding ‘broken-hearted’ as she announces that beloved dog Archie has died
Clare Balding has announced the devastating news that her beloved pet dog has died.
Journalist and sports presenter Clare Balding took to her Twitter account to share the devastating news with her friends and fans that her pet dog had tragically lost his life.
The broadcaster shared a series of photos of her late dog Archie, who passed away at 15 years old, including a lovely snap of her and wife and Alice Arnold walking him in the park.
Revealing the devastating news to her over 700,000 followers, Clare wrote, ‘I am so sad to tell you that our beloved Archie has walked his last walk.
‘@alicearnold1 and I are broken-hearted but grateful to him for the joy he gave us, the places he took us and the friends he brought us.
‘We miss him so much. RIP Archie 2005-2020’.
Friends and fans reached out to the pair, sending their condolences and leaving comforting messages in the comments section.

‘Aww, lovely Archie. I’m so sorry for you both,’ added another. ‘You’re right, dogs do bring us joy and we see so much with them in our lives. Rest peacefully sweet boy’.
‘I am so sorry for your loss of a beautiful member of your family,’ commented another. ‘Archie is now your guardian angel watching over you Big hugs 🐾🐾🐾’.
