Cher will be working on this film as a producer alongside Gary Foetzman and Judy Craymer, who are both known for their work on Mamma Mia and Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again.

Judy Craymer spoke about this exciting new venture and discussed her high regard for Cher after becoming close to her during the filming of Mamma Mia Here We Go Again. Judy said, “Gary and I are thrilled to be working with Cher again and this time bringing her empowering and true-life odyssey to the big screen. One cannot help but be drawn to and inspired by Cher’s larger than life talent, fortitude, unique wit, warmth, and vision,”

Judy went on to say, “Her unparalleled success in music film and TV have inspired generations. We could not be happier to tell her story to cinema audiences.”

Fans are extremely excited about this upcoming film and many have taken to social media to share their delight. One fan said, “I have been waiting for this since I was 15! It only took 50 years! When will it be done?” Hilariously, Cher replied to this tweet and simply stated, “I had more life to live.”

Cher celebrated her 75th birthday on the 20th of May 2021. It is unclear how much of her long life will be covered in the biopic and an exact release date has yet to be announced, but hopefully we won't have to wait too long!
