Carol Vorderman's hair was voted for by her adoring followers, as she asked them to vote between the classic shades of brown or blonde.

Last week Carol Vorderman shocked fans with an extreme but it's clear, in light of her trusting them with such big decisions, that she holds their opinion in the highest esteem.

The veteran TV star revealed that thousands voted and said, "about half said go back to brunette and half of you said STAY BLONDE. So I've gone brunette on top and blonde elsewhere.....it's called BRONDE.......oooooh 🥰😂"

The fusion of the two classic shades is evocative of the popular style dubbed balayage, which is all about merging dark to light. It's pretty obvious that the shade has proven a hit as celebrity fans like former Changing Rooms presenter Carole Smillie praised the star. She commented, "Looks fab! Welcome home."

Regular folk who follow the former Countdown star also sung the style's praises. One fan commented, "That looks absolutely fantastic on you, really suits you," and another added, "Yasss! Now that’s off the chart gorge."

For many, looking to engage in fitness for women over 50, Carol Vorderman's super-toned body is a reminder that strength training for women is an effective way to keep in shape at any age.

Carole Vorderman's hair transformation and hitting the gym are, comparatively, on the less extreme end of the scale when you look at her recent and ongoing health kick. This has included going on a juice treat with health expert Jason Vale, during which she claims to have dropped a dress size. On top of that she's been chilling and by that, we mean ice-cold baths!

Ice baths are used to soothe sore muscles after heavy workouts but there are also a lot of other health benefits in submerging yourself in cold water. Fans of the Wim Hof Method, for example, believe that there are many benefits of cold-water swimming for your body and mind. If Carol's glow-up is anything to go by, they might be onto something!
