Carol Vorderman reveals why she wants to stay single as she unveils stunning new look

During a recent appearance on Lorraine, TV presenter Carol Vorderman revealed her plans for a new TV show, which follows single women in their 50's - and also opened up about her own dating life at age 57.

Talking about her new show, called Carol Vorderman: My Single Life, she revealed to Lorraine it would be about dating and romance in your 50s.

She said, "We're single, in our fifties, how does that look? Stuff what the newspapers tell us, 'feel sorry for us'... these women have found themselves by choice and making the most of their lives."

"It's not about finding someone, It's about women, freedom to say, this is my choice, some people want to find next Mr Right and settle down and get married. We don’t all want that.

"That has given us tremendous freedom and things to do, some women might want two or three on the go, some might not want anything.'

Carol's last relationship was with pilot Graham "Duffy" Duff, who was 14 years younger then her. She also has two children, Katie King, 27, and Cameron King, 21, with ex-husband Patrick King.

But Carol admitted to Lorraine that now, she isn't looking for anything serious - and is happy staying single.

"We’re not all looking for keepers, that is the point. Some are, I’m not. Surprise, surprise - at all", she confessed.

The TV personality also admitted that her 50's had been her best decade yet. "I can’t think of anything worse at the moment. I’ve had the best summer of my life and the best week of my life with the RAF this summer."

Whilst on the morning show, the 58-year-old also showed off a brand new hairstyle, a dark blonde colour, - and looked far younger than her years in skinny jeans and a colourful polo neck. Lorraine commented on her new darker locks saying, "And, on a totally trivial note, love the hair."

While Carol admitted that, "Yeah, I’ve gone back to my roots." She had recently dyed her hair blonde.

Adding that, "Sometimes I think that signals a change in many ways, it’s good a thing… watch this space!"

Fans were also impressed by her new look, with one viewer writing on Instagram, 'Carol gets even more beautiful with age.'
