Carol has become known for her openness regarding how she stays in shape and her passion for keeping healthy.
"Health is my big thing," she told HELLO! It was only months before her interview that Carol Vorderman stunned in neon pink wetsuit while she tried paddleboarding in Wales—and it sounds like she's hooked! "I like paddleboarding, hiking and walking", she added.
However, Carol made it clear that the real difference to her body happened as a result of weight training—after she kitted out her home with a full weights studio. Her experience is further proof that strength training is important for women, and a real game-changer.
"I was doing three weights sessions online [per week] for months which is when I started to drop the weight," she explained. "I am very happy with my weight. I'm now a small size eight to ten and that's my happy place."

Although she looks marvelous, it's not all about appearance for this fitness enthusiast—it's about long-term health. "I'm going to live until I'm 95, and I'm going to be the same health-wise as I am now when I'm 85," she said. "I'm fit and healthy. I consider myself young. I feel young—I move well."
Considering her fantastic attitude and joie de vivre, it's easy to wonder if the single star might consider joining one of the best dating sites for over 50. Carol acknowledged that despite press speculation about her eagerness to find love, she's actually delighted with her lot in life.
"I've got loads of single, independent girlfriends who are much happier than many of their married counterparts," she said. "I'm much happier being single and I love my life."
Her love of all things natural is clear, with her outdoorsy pursuits, passion for her native Wales and, of course, that stint in I'm a Celeb! For Carol, in an ideal world, she'd love to get back to nature in a camper van.
“I might get myself a dog, get the campfire going. I'll be able to put my blow-up paddleboards in it and it will have a hot shower and tiny kitchen,” she said. “I've got a list of people who want to come with me. And anyone who says, ‘Women of 60 shouldn't be doing things like this.’ Well, it is happening. I've never felt freer."
