Boris Johnson and partner Carrie Symonds welcome first child together
Boris Johnson and his partner Carrie Symonds have welcomed their first child together.
The British Prime Minister and his fiancée Carrie Symonds have reportedly welcomed a baby boy together.
'Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds have announced the birth of a “healthy baby boy at a London hospital earlier this morning”,' wrote news agency PA Media.
'Both mother and baby are doing very well, their spokesman said'.
This is the first baby for new mum Carrie, who had been self-isolating away from fiancé Boris while she was pregnant, but the fifth for Boris as he shares four children with his ex-wife Marina Wheeler.
It comes just days after Boris Johnson started back at work following his battle with COVID-19, which led him to end up in hospital in intensive care.
The Prime Minister returned to his post earlier this week, saying on Monday, "I'm sorry I've been away from my desk for much longer than I would have liked and I want to thank everybody who has stepped up.

"Every day I know that this virus brings new sadness and mourning to households across the land and it is still true that this is the biggest single challenge this country has faced since the war and I in no way minimise the continuing problems we face".
Speaking about the big life changes the nation has had to adjust to, the Prime Minister continued, "I know how hard and how stressful it has been to give up, even temporarily, those ancient and basic freedoms - not seeing friends, not seeing loved ones, working from home, managing the kids, worrying about your job and your firm".
Thanking the population for staying firm during lockdown, the now dad-of-five added, "We will come through this all the faster and the United Kingdom will emerge stronger than ever before".
The Prime Minister confirmed just weeks ago that he had tested positive for the virus, sharing a video with his nearly 2 million followers, with the caption, ‘Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.
‘I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.
‘Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives'.
