Anton du Beke lands This Morning role showing off this secret unexpected skill

Anton du Beke

As one of TV's most popular stars, Anton du Beke is set to join one of the UK's most popular TV shows - This Morning!

The professional dancer has made his name on Strictly Come Dancing, but it looks as though he's going to be trying his hand at something different on the morning magazine show.

Anton has landed a role alongside Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, showing off an unexpected skill of his - baking.

He'll be appearing on a four-part series for This Morning, called 'Anton du Beke's Baking Fails'.

But the dancer is no novice. In fact, Anton reportedly originally trained as a baker before becoming a dancer.

Discussing his exciting new role, Anton revealed, "Baking has always been my other passion. I’m thrilled to be joining This Morning.

"Not everyone will be aware of this other side to me, they might just see me as a dancer, but baking has always been my other passion."

He continued, "I'm thrilled to be joining This Morning for this new series as I've always been a big fan of the show, and with my baking background hat on, I'm looking forward to helping viewers with their baking mishaps. I've got plenty of tips, tricks and advice that will hopefully help anyone struggling in the kitchen with their sweet or savoury treats."

We can't wait to see this on screen!

Of course, Anton's new role comes ahead of the 17th series of Strictly Come Dancing launching in September.

Since Darcey Bussell announced her departure as a judge from the BBC show, Anton has been one of the names put forward to take on the role, alongside his fellow dancer Oti Mabuse.

However, no news has been confirmed yet about who will be replacing Darcey, but we're excited to find out.
