Alicia Silverstone poses nude for the first time ever, but there’s an important reason why she’s broken her ban, ‘I never posed naked, for film, for TV, nothing’
Alicia Silverstone posed nude in a recent photoshoot for a promotional campaign as she collaborates with animal rights activists, PETA

Alicia Silverstone posed nude for a newly released campaign, as she broke her long-held decision to not appear nude on camera.
Alicia Silverstone has shared some stunning - and daring - photographs of herself as she poses nude for the first time ever at the age of 46. But, this isn't just a publicity stunt, the actress has stripped down and bared all in the name of animal activism and sustainability.
The campaign is in collaboration with PETA and asks viewers to stop using leather products and instead opt for vegan alternatives such as mushroom leather, or cactus leather - hence the cacti featured in the shoot.

Speaking about her decision to collaborate with the brand, Alicia said, "If it takes me getting naked, for you to care about animals, then that is what I'm after. Today I'm doing a photoshoot with PETA, I never ever get naked, in TV, in film, nothing, never, nope. But I've done it for PETA because that's how much it matters to me."
The actress then focused on the problem with cow leather and emphasised that it isn't a sustainable product. "There’s this idea that leather is somehow better for the Earth, but what they don’t realize is the amount of resources; water, food, oil for transport, the amount of energy that goes into making leather is extraordinary. It's just not sustainable, the Earth can't handle it," she said.
The actress then spoke about the alternatives, and explained the background to her nude shoot. "I have found really good materials that are natural. They're using mushroom leather, pineapple leather, cactus leather - which is why we did this in a cactus field today - and I think that's incredible. My dream is to get these Earth-friendly, vegan materials, into the hands of the greatest designers," she said.
"I really like the merge of being conscious of no animals’ skins but also being conscious of the Earth, because we all have to live in it, the animals and us, and without it, we’re screwed," she said.

Aliciia then concluded, "I'd rather go naked, than wear animals."
Fans loved this move from the star and many took to social media to support her brave decision to go nude for the first time on camera. "Obsessed with @aliciasilverstone 😍 vegan queen!" said one fan.
"Get it girl! You look gorgeous! 🌟" said another complimentary fan. "This this this!! We are here for it!!" commented another fan of the star.
"Love this campaign! There's nothing nice and humane about leather made from animal skins. Choose plants, leave animals out of your wardrobe ⛔" said yet another commenter.
