Adele has revealed that she plans to have more children, nine years after the birth of her son, Angelo.

The British superstar confirmed that she'd like another baby (or babies!), just a few days after she won Artist of the Year at the Brits 2022.

In her upcoming Friday night appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the 33-year-old spoke candidly about her desire to expand her family - and even hinted that a second pregnancy could be on the horizon.

Adele currently has a son, Angelo, whom she shares with her ex-husband Simon Konecki, and has now revealed she hopes to give the nine-year-old a little sibling. It's likely that she'll welcome her next child with her new boyfriend Rich Paul, whom she has been dating for about six months.

"I would like to have more children," she told Graham. "I only just feel like I've caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son."

She went on to confirm that her Las Vegas residency will go ahead in 2022, dispelling recent speculation that ticketholders could be waiting until next year to see their idol perform live. 'Weekends with Adele' at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace was canceled last month just one day before its first show, leaving thousands of fans in the dark over the concert series' future.

"It is absolutely 100% happening this year. It has to happen this year because I've got plans for next year," she said,  before implying just what those 'plans' might be. "Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby!"

This is the first time that Adele, who featured her son's voice notes on 30's My Little Love, has publicly expressed her wishes to have another child. She has previously spoken about her battle with postpartum depression after giving birth to Angelo in 2012, and how the experience left her "too scared" to have a second baby.

"I felt very inadequate; I felt like I'd made the worst decision of my life… It came in many different forms," she told Vanity Fair in 2016.

She also praised people who choose not to have kids, adding, "I think it's the bravest thing not to have a child. All my friends and I felt pressurised into having kids, because that's what adults do."

Adele also detailed how the experience of parenting impacted her identity, which had previously been defined by her personal interests and successful career. "Giving, giving, giving, to a baby or a toddler, when they can't even [expletive] talk to you, your brain goes a bit mushy," she said in November 2021.

"Having no time to even brush my teeth, let alone write a record or hang out with my friends. My friends, my hobbies, the things I like doing without a baby, are things that make me who I am. And I didn't really have access to that for a while."

Fortunately for the talented singer, this difficult chapter is long behind her. Now that Angelo is a little older, Adele feels far less stress when it comes to being a mother.

"It's way easier to navigate once you can really communicate with them," she said.
