Kerry Washington teases 'pregnancy announcement' with black and white photo
She had us fooled for a moment...
Kerry Washington, best known for her epic roles in Django Unchained and US political show Scandal sent her Instagram followers into a frenzy after sharing a black and white of herself in the bath.
And while a naked bath photo isn't the most shocking of posts, it was Kerry's baby bump that got us all talking. Sitting naked in the bath the black and white photo clearly shows her huge pregnant stomach.
However, it turns out the photo is actually a throwback as revealed in her clever caption, "If you thought this was a pregnancy announcement, download Hulu and watch Little Fires Everywhere. Or do whatever it is YOU need to do to practice self-care this weekend! Take a bath! (It's #NationalBubbleBathDay!), meditate, journal, sleep. But most importantly... treat yourself and treat each other with love and kindness."
Kerry isn't actually pregnant at all, the caption references the 2019 series Little Fires Everywhere in which Kerry played one of the main characters, Mia Warren, who is pregnant during the show.
