Justin Timberlake confirms the birth of second son and reveals his unique name
Justin Timberlake and wife Jessica Biel are thought to have welcomed their baby six months ago
Singer Justin Timberlake has finally confirmed that he has become a father for the second time, six months after he and wife Jessica Biel are believed to have welcomed their new son.
The former NSYNC band member and actor Jessica are already proud parents to five-year-old Silas. And whilst rumours have circulated since last year that the couple’s second child had been born, it wasn’t until a recent interview that the star announced the news.
During a virtual interview on The Ellen DeGeneres show, the musician revealed that they had become parents to another baby boy.
It's been an exciting time for Justin Timberlake, who recently also announced his involvement with a TV special that will celebrate Joe Biden's Inauguration, hosted by Tom Hanks.
What is Justin Timberlake’s baby called?
Justin Timberlake also disclosed the unique name they had given him.
"His name is Phineas,” the proud father revealed, adding: “he is awesome and so cute and nobody's sleeping but we’re thrilled. We’re thrilled and couldn't be happier. Very grateful".
This adorable name is thought to be of Hebrew origin.

When asked about how having two children compares to having one, he humorously replied: "We don't see each other anymore".
The musician then reportedly continued: “It's a lot of fun, but I guess the saying goes 'Go from a zone defence to a man-to-man very quickly'. It's great, and Silas is very excited.”
Speaking more about how 5-year-old Silas feels about his new baby brother, Justin added: “Right now he is very much liking it. Phin can't walk yet or chase him down, so we'll see what happens".
How long have Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel been together?
It’s believed that musician Justin and actor Jessica first met back in 2007. The happy couple later married in 2012 and went on to welcome their first child Silas in 2015. In 2018, ET reported that the actor had told them: “You know, kids are amazing. They are really hard, but they are really amazing."
"I think it would be amazing to have a bigger family," she continued. "I don't know if that is in the cards for us, we will see.”

Jessica’s pregnancy with Phineas was kept very private. Though it seems that close friend Ellen DeGeneres was one of those who knew.
Ellen remarked, “I think we were FaceTiming and you said, ‘Hey, you want to know a secret?’ and then Jessica walked in and you put your hand on her stomach. You were like, ‘I’m having another baby!”
Jessica hasn’t been pictured in full on social media since last March when she celebrated her birthday. Despite reports circulating last year that the couple had welcomed their second child, this is the first time Phineas' birth has been officially confirmed.
We wish the proud parents congratulations on their exciting news!
