These 40+ women joined Kate Upton’s #ShareStrong movement – and you won’t fail to be inspired
Fully embracing who we are – warts and all – can be a struggle for women of any age.
And in recognition of this fact model, actress and mum-of-one Kate Upton has encouraged others to ‘share’ why they’re ‘strong’ using the #ShareStrong, revealing that she wants to be strong for her daughter Genevieve – who is less than a year old – so that she feels ‘comfortable to radiate strength, power and confidence’.
Her Instagram post – which was broken up into three parts – clocked up more than 500,000 views in total and more than 11,000 likes.
Explaining what motivated her to start the campaign, the 27-year-old star of movies including The Other Woman wrote, ''Through my own personal experiences and my fitness program@strong4mefit, I’ve met and spoken with some incredibly strong women.
'I want to open the conversation and give all people a platform to talk about all the struggles and strengths we experience… That’s why I created#ShareStrong– a space where we all can be part of the conversation, empower one another, and radiate positivity. I want to hear from YOU! Join the conversation by sharing what makes you strong and use the hashtag#ShareStrong. I can’t wait to hear from you!'
Scores of fans commented on the post, praising the initiative and sharing their stories.
One wrote, ‘I’m strong for my husband and my kids. To be the partner and parent God made me to be.’

While a second added, ‘I’m strong for my son. I am a single Mama in my early 30’s and have stage 3 Neurological Lyme Disease and everyday I make it another day for him. I’m strong even when I feel like it’s to hard because my little man doesn’t deserve anything less than a mama who try’s her hardest.’
A third continued, ‘My grandchildren are my reason why I take care of myself by eating right and exercising #sharestrong.’
A fourth wrote, ‘My daughter is my #sharestrong inspo too. My daughter was born at 27 weeks and fought her way through. She is now a 9 year old strong, vivacious girl that keeps everyone in check with her wit and “sharp tongue”.'
