Chrissy Teigen opens up in moving post about her sobriety experience
She shared a stunning family snap on Inauguration Day
Chrissy Teigen has shared a poignant post with her followers on Twitter, reflecting on her sobriety. Chrissy reportedly first revealed she was sober late last month, stating that she had given up alcohol four weeks earlier. Last week, Chrissy and her musician husband John Legend, together with their children Luna and Miles, made their way to Washington, D.C. for the inauguration of new US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
The family traveled to D.C. ahead of John's spectacular performance at the "Celebrating America" primetime inauguration event. Taking to Twitter to give an update on their experience, Chrissy shared a stunning photograph of herself and her family looking out over the Washington Monument.
The devoted mother can be seen holding her daughter’s hand, whilst Miles balances on John’s shoulders.

‘I was done with making an a** of myself in front of people (I'm still embarrassed). Tired of day drinking and feeling like s*** by 6, not being able to sleep’.
‘I have been sober ever since and even if you can't see yourself doing it or just plain don't want to, it is still an incredible read’, she went on to explain.
OH MY GOD !!!!!!!!!! https://t.co/BmBfkPZgEjJanuary 21, 2021
Her powerful words will no doubt have inspired many of her followers throughout the challenges of recent months. This news comes as Chrissy received a ‘follow’ on Twitter from President Biden, having been blocked by the previous president for years.
The model was clearly excited by the news, having delightedly tweeted ‘OH MY GOD !!!!!!!!!!’ after being informed about her new high-profile follower.
We’ll just have to wait and see if she and President Biden will have any Twitter exchanges over the next four years!
