Aspinal of London Launches Monochrome Collection
The monochrome look remains very much on trend this season. From Isabella Marant to Dior, the catwalks were full of delicious black and white combinations. Now, Aspinal of London have extended this most classic of pairings to accessories, with a stunning new monochrome collection that marries rich ivory and midnight black. Made of the delightfully textured Italian Saffiano leathers and individually handcrafted, their Monochrome handbags are chic and sophisticated.
The vintage-inspired Hepburn (above) evokes the timeless elegance of the Hollywood star, with its classic, structured shape. Made of Italian Saffiano calf leather, it is lined with grosgrain and finished with Italian hardware and Swiss-made zips. The decorative rivets echo one of this season's most innovative trends (£595).
Also made of Italian Saffiano calf leather with Swiss zips, the Marylebone tote (above) makes a strong style statement. It is a superbly sculpted bag, whose tubular top handles have equestrian-inspired strap and stud details. The main compartment is lined in lavish grosgrain silk and is 21st-century proofed thanks to a padded iPad pocket. It also has two concealed external pockets with magnetic closure (£795).
Vintage style imbues the stunning Brook Street bag (above), the ultimate in city glamour. Handmade from the finest Italian Saffiano calf leather, it is magnificently sculpted yet very practical - it comes with a dual zipped middle compartment, two zipped pockets and aside straps that can be tightened or loosened to control capacity. Lined it shimmering grosgrain, it is finished with Swiss made metal zips and Italian hardware (£695).
Aspinal put an unusual twist on the monochrome look with the Victoria shoulder bag (above), which has yellow snakeskin accents. This beautifully sculpted bag, made from Italian Saffiano calf leather and lined in shimmering grosgrain, has a feature gold tone brass chain-link shoulder strap and Aspinal's exquisite medallion centrepiece clasp. This compact shoulder bag has a main compartment and a zipped pocket - perfect for dinner party essentials (£450). And if the weather doesn't oblige, you can still go out in style with Aspinal's monochrome Flower umbrella, a handmade, double-canopied brolly featuring a white lotus flower print on a black background (£175).
