It not only oozes luxury with its Italian craftsmanship but it also delivers on the non-stick promises, it made cooking dinner a stress-free pleasure. The only downside to this pan is its weight, however, that's what happens when you use good quality materials and prioritise durability.

When it comes to quality in the kitchen, beloved actor Stanley Tucci certainly knows a thing or two. His recent collection with iconic cookware brand GreenPan is proof of this, the Italian-inspired collaboration which is stocked exclusively at Fortnum & Mason promises nothing short of the very best materials to ensure a professional cooking experience.

The collection features GreenPan's Woven Induction Technology, this is their method of weaving together bands of stainless steel tightly and then infusing them into a 5mm forged base which delivers maximum induction efficiency on all stovetops. Pair this with the durable ceramic body that truly delivers on its non-stick guarantee and I consider the Stanley Pan one of the best non-stick pans and one of the best induction pans I've come across yet.

As someone who cooks from scratch every evening, it can feel like a struggle to find ways to speed up the process without sacrificing taste and presentation. When I saw that the GreenPan x Stanley Tucci Stanley Pan promised a quicker more even cook I was immediately intrigued.

Once it came to testing the pan, I wanted to cook something I make regularly, something which I usually end up having to aggressively scrape off the sides of my regular pans. So I set to making chicken and vegetable fajitas, a dish with excessive seasonings that would challenge that non-stick quality. To my delight, the pan passed with flying colours.

GreenPan x Stanley Tucci Stanley Pan: First impressions

On arrival, I was blissfully unaware of just how big this pan was, and looking at the size of the box I wondered how it was going to fit on my stove. However, much of the box, apart from its length, was leant to securing the pan and matching lid during postage which I appreciated. After all, this is an expensive piece of cookware so the extra thought and measures are welcomed.

Once I opened the box, I was greeted by a smiling Stanley Tucci and immediately recognised that this was a high-quality item with branded paper wrapping and printed packaging. Another welcome surprise was the complimentary felt trivet which is aptly branded with the word TUCCI.

The pan itself was visually stunning, the Venetian Teal colourway paired with the gold handles was breathtaking and added to the overall luxurious feel of the piece.

It wasn't until I began unwrapping the pan that I ran into my first and potentially only issue with it, and that was its weight. It was clear that the piece was made with nothing but the best materials such as the scratch-resistant ceramic coating and gold-casted stainless steel, however, this did make it incredibly heavy to hold.

GreenPan x Stanley Tucci Stanley Pan: User experience

As soon as I put the pan onto the stove I was pleasantly surprised by how large the base was, there was no worry of it tipping or sliding at all and it allowed for a lot of ingredients which is ideal for bulk cookers or bigger households. The woven induction base not only meant that the pan heated up extremely quickly and evenly but that there was also a layer of resistance to keep it in place. You can also transfer the pan into the oven, for temperatures up to 315 degrees which is great for one-pan meals like paella or baked pasta. Just be aware the matching glass lid is oven-safe only up to 218 degrees.

Immediately upon pouring oil into the pan, I knew that the non-stick coating was going to be impressive. Not only was it effective from the get-go but it also stayed non-stick right until the very end when my chicken and veggies were sticky and covered in fajita seasoning. I usually find that raw chicken will more often than not stick to pan bases and as soon as seasoning is added things get even worse, which not only affects the cooking experience but also clean-up. And for that reason, I knew that this would become one of the best non-stick frying pans I've had the pleasure of using.

When it came to cleaning the pan, I chose not to put it in the dishwasher. Whilst it's completely safe to do so I wanted to see how the PFAS-free non-stick coating would lend itself in the washing up process. Just as expected most of the residue from the fajitas basically slid off under the hot water tap, and any bits left over come off easily with a gentle wipe with a scourer.

I did however struggle during the entire cooking and cleaning process due to the sheer weight of the pan. Whilst the casted stainless steel handles, on both sides, are extremely sleek they were not easy to grip especially when it came to transporting the pan from stove to table for serving. I will say that the handles were great at keeping heat conduction to a minimum and the engraved detail cemented this pan as a luxury product. I just wish the handles were a little more grip-friendly, although there is a useful second handle which I found extremely helpful when moving the pan around.

Storage-wise, this is going to be a hard squeeze for those with limited space. So if you're constantly trying to figure out how to organise a small kitchen then this might not be the frying pan for you. On the other hand, this pan is so wonderful to look at and so durable that it could happily live full-time on the top of your stove. Considering its high price point why not keep it out on display?

How does the GreenPan x Stanley Tucci Stanley Pan compare?

This GreenPan collaboration is without a doubt the best non-stick pan I've used. The ceramic PFAS-free coating is infused with layers of diamonds which is what makes it so durable and efficient at heat distribution. Compared with other non-stick pans, such as the Ninja Foodi ZEROSTICK range which we love here at woman&home, it definitely holds up. As for the long-term longevity of the non-stick, I can't comment, however, it did last through the entire cooking process and clean-up afterwards.

And yet, from feeling alone I can confidently say I've never used a pan with such durable yet sleek quality. Whilst the pan is made of some of the most impressive materials, it's not sacrificed on style one bit, especially with the Venetian Teal colourway. So whilst there are some strong competitors out there, Our Place Always Pan being one of our favourites, this is one of the top contenders on the market.

GreenPan x Stanley Tucci Stanley Pan: Eco friendly features

When it comes to the eco-friendly aspects of the pan, the quality is one of the most efficient features of this piece. Not only is the pan from base to handle built to last for years to come but GreenPan's induction technology also ensures minimal energy is needed for a thorough cook and satisfying result.

The plasma tech treatment used on the entire collection works alongside the state-of-the-art PFAS-free ceramic coating to ensure a safe chemical-free cooking experience. Unlike other cheaper options, there is no danger with continued use that you'll be consuming microscopic traces of these chemicals each time you eat your dinner.

Should you buy the GreenPan x Stanley Tucci Stanley Pan?

Stanley Tucci's choice to partner with GreenPan was an extremely smart one, as there's no denying their cookware technology has confidently placed them as front runners in the field. These efficient and high-quality materials do however mean that the pieces come at a higher price and a nearly £200 pan is certainly not an accessible price point.

Should you however have the money to be able to invest in your cookware, and also have the spare room, then this is definitely a pan you need in your collection. It will not only be perfect for dinner parties, sitting centre stage on your dining table, but it will also make family cooking a much more pleasurable experience both for you and your kids on wash-up duty.

Overall, yes I do believe it to be worth the money however there are much more affordable models on the market that will deliver an extremely similar quick even cook for a fraction of the price.

And yet, if you're looking to treat yourself or an at-home chef in the family there is no need to look any further than The Stanley Pan.
