We love nothing more than a box full of Italian treats at any time of year, but what stood out for us with this Christmas hamper compared to others on the list was the product selection and the inclusion of beers as well as a bottle of wine. Christmas hampers can all too often have a very similar selection of wines, cheeses, crackers and hot chocolate - but this gift box - tied up with a silk blue bow - contains Birrificio Angelo Poretti Lagers, Hausbrandt Anniversary Blend Ground Coffee and a giant tin of olives to boot - as well as other delicious Italian treats for a true, Mediterranean gourmet feast.

Christmas Eve boxes have become a popular trend in recent years with families and small children, but this is a Christmas Eve treat especially for the adults. The Homemade tomato chutney has a light but pleasant kick and is moreishly good with cheese, while the mince pies are baked in Cutter and Squidge’s heavenly style with extra sweetness. The inclusions of both hot chocolate and wine make this a great Christmas gift for the whole family and this hamper has the very best hot chocolate we have tried this year - bar none.

Yes the Snowdonia Cheese Company do cheese (it's all in the name, right?) But they also do a hamper containing fantastic wine, chutney and moreish nibbles to serve with your Christmas cocktails when you have people over.
Our favourite fromage from the Snowdonia Cheese Company? Their award-winning extra mature Black Bomber cheddar. Enduringly popular and award-winning for a reason, you've never tasted a smoother, creamier cheese. Dangerously moreish, we'd buy this hamper just for the cheese (but the other high-quality products are a definite bonus).
Best Christmas hampers between £65 and £100
RRP: £69 | Delivery cost: £7.95| Delivery time-frame: Nominated day delivery
Support British businesses by sending a bulging hamper of Christmas treats from Darts Farm, a farm shop in Devon that has evolved into a foodie heaven including a tastings bar, restaurant, food hall and working farm.
All their hampers are filled with seasonal produce from local artisan food and drink producers in the South West, but their Christmas gifts are chockful of festive treats. Think freshly made Ryders Bakery mince pies, Willie’s chocolate truffles, Waterhouse Fayre Christmas jam, and Teoni’s Furniss Dipped Cookies which we thought were delicious dunked in coffee. There’s even a bottle of Pebblebed rosé or white wine, some Four Elms Apple Juice and the essential Georgie Porgie Christmas Pudding. All you really need to add for the perfect Christmas day is the turkey.

Paxtpn & Whitfield come out on top in 2022 when it comes to the best Christmas hampers for your cheeseboard. Representing excellent value for the quality of ingredients inside, what we loved about this hamper was the excellently paired cheese, wine, crackers and chutneys, meaning all you need is a suitably discerning cheese board to serve everything on. This hamper makes an excellent gift, but if it were us, we'd be ordering one of these for our own Christmas tables too.
RRP: £89.95 | Delivery cost: Free | Delivery time-frame: 5 working days
A Christmas hamper with beer included is always a welcome addition to any festive list of ours, as we all know how difficult it is to find great Christmas gifts for husbands, or Christmas presents for any man in your life that they will love and enjoy beyond Boxing Day. This box from award-winning British chef Rick Stein is one such gift. Containing six bottles of Chalky's Ale - three-time winner of the world's best beer - and some moreish savoury snacks to enjoy with them, this is one Christmas hamper that we guaranteed will be consumed and enjoyed before the end of Boxing Day.
RRP: £96 | Delivery cost: Free | Delivery time-frame: 4 day shipping
Less of a hamper in the traditional sense and more of a box of the best wine you've ever tasted, the Wine Society's The Joy Of Wine Experience Home Tasting Kit makes the perfect Christmas gift for the wine curious who would be interested to discover the techniques and pleasures of wine tasting.
The case includes ten specially chosen bottles of wine, including a bottle of Prosecco and Cava as well as Reds and Whites. There are also easy-to-follow instructions and paper for taking notes to make the wine tasting experience easy and fun for both beginners and old hands. We'd personally recommend The Society's Australian Shiraz and The Society's Saar Riesling, but the joy of wine tasting is you'll probably discover your own favourites depending on your tastes and palette.
RRP: £98 | Delivery cost: Free | Delivery time-frame: Named day delivery
This hamper is perfect for Christmas because it's the complete works – a cheeseboard in a box where the vast range of clothbound cheeses have been thoughtfully paired with the crackers, chutneys and wines also included. We think the slightly higher price point of this hamper compared to the other cheese offerings on this list is worth it for the quality of the cheese included, the two full sized bottles of wine and how well everything in the box pairs together. We also loved the inclusion of nibbles in this box, meaning you could create your very own grazing board for Christmas Day (butter boards, eat your heart out).
Best luxury Christmas hampers over £100
RRP: £108.95 | Delivery cost: £4.99 | Delivery time-frame: 2-5 days

Two things come to mind when it comes to Fortnum & Mason: top-quality treats and hampers. This 8-piece bundle combines both. Among popular options, this one is a standout for having a little of everything, like Marc de Champagne Truffles, Christmas pudding, and even a bottle of Claret.
RRP: £110 | Delivery cost: £3.95| Delivery time-frame: 3-5 working days
Started out of a small chocolate shop in Swanage, Dorset, Chococo now ship their sensational and sustainable chocolate all around the UK. We've visited their original chocolate shop and sampled many of the treats inside the hamper and it's packed full of both the brand's best sellers and seasonal chocolate surprises. We love the Dorset honey honeycombe-studded milk chocolate clusters and Spanish candied orange segments smothered in rich Ecuador origin dark chocolate!
RRP: £165 | Delivery cost: £5 | Delivery time-frame: 2-5 day shipping

The thing we just love about Cartwright and Butler hampers is the incredible quality of their products. And it's not just what's inside the hampers that's premium, but the actual hamper itself exudes luxury, with smart grey leather straps and shiny silver buttons.
This new Christmas food hamper for 2021 contains all of what you'd expect from a 'festive favourites' hamper and more - the best mince pies, Christmas Loaf Cake, moreish cheese crackers and shortbread. Our favorite inclusion of all has to be the Mulled Wine Spice Bags and a bottle of Cielo Del Sur Merlot—so you can brew a warming Christmas drink to enjoy in front of the fire.
RRP: £175| Delivery cost: £19.30| Delivery time-frame: Within 46 hours
This Christmas hamper might be expensive, but it's also particularly impressive and won praise from the woman&home food team too. Hardly surprising as DukesHill has been producing fine food for over 40 years and even carry a Royal Warrant to Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for their cured hams.
This extravagant gift will bowl over any recipient and includes all kinds of chutneys, crackers and chocolate, plus a bottle of Tanners Cava Brut. We particularly loved the festive sweet surprises including a Family Christmas Pudding, Grandad’s Light Fruitcake Loaf, Classic Mince Pies and the best Scottish Shortbread we’ve ever tasted (and trust us, we’ve tried plenty). There’s also a DukesHill Wiltshire Ham, a traditional Oak Smoked Salmon and DukesHill Blinis plus both a cheddar and blue cheese. These all need popping straight in the fridge so we’d recommend warning the recipient this is on its way—they may also want to know to plan their Christmas food shopping accordingly.
RRP: £180 | Delivery cost: Free| Delivery time-frame: 3-5 working days
This is the dream gift for anyone obsessed with Italian food and top-quality artisan ingredients. Seggiano has been sourcing Italian goodies from local suppliers for over 30 years and this hamper bursts with their stand-out products.
Among the highlights are a range of organic dried pastas and pasta sauces, biscuits, roasted artichokes, an outstanding bottle of olive oil and a single-estate Super Dense Balsamic Glaze. The pots of semi-fresh basil, thyme, rosemary and sage will transform every dinner time while the Mandarin Oil is made with mandarins stone-milled alongside olives in Puglia. We think we could even be persuaded to swap good old Christmas cake for the included Chestnut Panettone this year.
RRP: £225 | Delivery cost: £19.30| Delivery time-frame: Within 46 hours
Founded by private chef and super foodie Tim Crowley, these delightful wooden hampers are all filled with ingredients that have been handpicked by Tim himself using his own hams, trout, duck, pies and jams along with the finest cheeses and biscuits from up and down the UK.
Tim's artisan provisions are truly exceptional with his pies being described as 'the best pies I have tasted' by James Martin. If they're good enough for James….
The hampers from Crowley's stood out to us against lots of the other hampers on this list because of the sheer amount of fresh produce they contain. This meant Tim's hamper was by far one of the best Christmas hampers we've rated this year, but it also means that anyone buying will need to keep delivery dates in mind, as you don't want this hamper languishing in a post room over a public holiday or too.
RRP: £260 | Delivery cost: £5.95| Delivery time-frame: 3-5 working days
Fortnum & Mason is known for their iconic hampers and this offering is undoubtedly one of the best Christmas gifts for parents and kiddos alike. It comes with a bottle of their signature champagne as well as a couple of bottles of wine, accompanied by a showstopping Christmas pudding, several biscuit selections, tea and coffee, chocolate gingerbread men and jars of marmalade, preserve, pickle and cranberry sauce.

A hamper is a great present as it contains a wealth of goods that the person you're shopping for can enjoy during December, or put away in their pantry to re-discover and appreciate next year.
Which Christmas hamper you buy this year will depend on a number of factors including who you are buying for, what your budget is and when you intend to gift or receive it.
If you are looking for the best Christmas hampers to give as a gift, consider the recipient. If you're giving the hamper as a Christmas gift to your dad or a Christmas gift to your grandparents because they prefer practical presents, think about what they would like to eat or drink the most. Would they prefer something they can enjoy straightaway as a festive treat, like chocolate or mince pies and panetone? Or would they prefer to savour the contents and tuck into it over a longer time, and so might appreciate a hamper that includes wine, chutneys or other longer-life goods.
Christmas hampers make a great hostess gift and can be given or sent as a token of appreciation to someone for hosting you for Christmas. If giving a hamper as a gift for your mother-in-law or your host for Christmas day, consider if the contents could form a helpful contribution to the day's meal. For example, one of the fantastic cheese hampers in this list would be a brilliant contribution to the Christmas Day cheese board.
If buying the hamper for yourself, consider how long the hamper will take to arrive and how perishable the goods are inside. If the hamper won't arrive in time for Christmas, or will arrive too soon, the contents may go out of date before you've had a chance to enjoy them.
