This new label has the fashion team SQUEALING with delight (and not just because prices start from £35)
This September saw the launch of Palones, an innovative new womenswear fashion brand focusing on creating limited-edition luxury clothing.Excitingly, the aesthetic of the clothes is very designer, but the prices are very high street! And the woman&home fashion team are officially in love.
The idea behind Palones, says Kimmi Kim, Creative Director, is that we 'saw a gap in the market for the use of existing archive fabrics that we carefully source from mills in the Far East and Europe'.
'As we only have certain measures of these fabrics it means each piece is a limited edition, with hero pieces restricted to very short runs which will not be reproduced.'
It sounds expensive, doesn't it? But the reason we're so excited about this launch is that prices start from £35 for T-shirts, and go up to £300 for coats. And for those prices you're getting designer finishes and exclusivity because each style, by the very nature of the concept, is limited.
For Palones, fit is first. The collection has been designed with the latest hi-tech production methods such as creating ‘virtual’ samples using 3D software to ensure a perfect cut and avoid the wasteful sampling process. There is a comprehensive size guide online and every new customer receiving a complimentary tape measure to ensure a perfect fit.
“I am so proud of the Palones fit. I’m a firm believer of the philosophy, ‘the better our clothes make us feel, the more we want to wear them.’ Using state-of-art software we have developed our own avatars to ensure precision cuts. I’ve also incorporated clever style details, so the outfits can be continually re-imagined and re-styled,” continued Kimmy Kim, Creative Director.
The collection launched this month with a capsule wardrobe of just 64 garments. Designed for work, fun and special occasions, the styles come with clever details such as interchangeable belts and reversible coats. From tweed coats, effervescent trenches and statement suits, strong tailoring to fabulous party dresses, the Palones collection will take you from day-to-night and season-to-season. There will be regular drops of new pieces throughout the year though.

The Woman & Home fashion team recently used the £120 gold trench for the December fashion shoot and can confirm the quality and fit rivals many designer labels. We had so many comments about the coat while it was in the office, with 3 people asking to try it on within the space of 10 minutes!
But it's not just the design credentials we like. This brand has sustainability at its heart too.
“Palones is about positivity, from how we design and manufacture our clothes to how we live our lives. In a world where waste is the enemy, our aim is to source the very best existing stock fabrics and produce small, exclusive batches.” commented Dave Sullivan, Marketing Director.
Now we just need to decide which of the 64 pieces we want to treat ourselves too first...
