When it comes to fashion, we all want the latest, must-have item.

So when we heard about this Next dress that has been so coveted by fashion fans, it has a several weeks-long waiting list, we knew we had to take a look.

And it's no wonder it's proven so popular. The dress is maxi length, and has a stunning, black and white animal print design, complete with frill detail around the neckline.

It's the perfect option for the remaining summer months, as it's flowing, floaty material will keep you cool even in the hottest of temperatures. It's certainly ideal for the current heatwave!

The dress, which is available for £38, could be easily paired with either sandals or heels too - depending on whether you're heading for a day on the beach or a summer night's dinner.

At the moment, the item is so popular that it's entirely sold out on the Next website, and is only available to order for arrival in a few weeks time.

In size six, the wait time is scheduled as three-four weeks. However, with the rest of the sizes - an 8 to a 22, you can expect to wait between five and six weeks.

After that time, the dress will then be available for delivery to your home, or for you to collect from your local store.

However, if you can't wait that long, Next have also released a swimsuit in a very similar design, in the meantime.

So will you be purchasing the swimsuit, or waiting until September for the coveted maxi dress?
