Fashion guru Gok Wan tells us all about his new autumn collection for QVC
Gok Wan has launched his second collection with QVC –the man himself tells us how to style the key pieces.
Gok Wan is somewhat of a national treasure; from his 'How to look good naked' tv show we loved to watch in the early noughties, to his This Morning appearances, we can't get enough of the fashion Guru.
Now, Gok has launched his second WULI:LUU collection with omnichannel QVC UK and we can't get enough.
We want to know what makes the latest autumn/winter collection a go-to this season, so who better to tell us than the man himself? Gok says, “If I had to sum up WULI:LUU at QVC UK using a couple of words – I’d probably only use one actually– confidence. My collection should make you the most beautiful you’ve ever felt in your life.”

So what are the key pieces to shop from the new edit? Gok's tip for choosing the best knitwear is: “Layer up with and oversized thick knit – I love a turtleneck, they’re cosy and sophisticated, yet casual and so comfortable! I just had to have one in my new collection. This season, the oversized knit with a skinny jean and a pair of classic white trainers is the easy casual trend for autumn/winter 2020. It can also be quickly dressed up with some simple jewellery and sunnies, and it works as a simple layering tool for going about your day.”

If you love leather during the cooler months then there's also the perfect midi style you'll wear on repeat in the new drop. Gok tells us “If I had to choose my favourite piece from the new collection, it would probably be my faux leather skirt. I love the level of detailing that went into it: from the cross-panel stitching to making the waist band fit comfortably for all shapes and sizes. The cut of my faux leather skirt is long enough to wear with your favourite winter boots. You can also team it with a flattering blouse or silk shirt to create a professional yet casual ensemble.”

When it comes to tops, it's all about finding the perfect fit. Gok suggests: “Find what is flattering – once you find a neckline or a silhouette that is working for you, grab hold of it! I recommend buying your favourite pieces in a number of colour ways so you can work them into different looks. The WULI:LUU ponte trouser (above) comes in five tones and is a real wardrobe staple that is made to make you feel good.”

The fabulous collection even included the universally flattering dress style of all time: the wrap. Gok says, “A wrap dress is key for every autumn/winter wardrobe – there is a reason the wrap dress is a go-to for every woman: they are uber-flattering, look great and work well with curves. Across the AW20 shows, the wrap dress was a key piece on the runway and is something I just had to have as part of my own collection. It has such a playful twist with a bit of sparkle, and perfect for the holiday season.”
