Our favourite pieces from Sainsbury's stylish Tu clothing range
Sainsbury's fantastic Tu clothing range is full of brilliant bargains.
There's now much more to tempt us than delicious food and drink at the local supermarket. Sainsbury's Tu clothing has become our go-to shopping destination for trend-led, well-made pieces that are always greeted with amazed expressions when we reveal our stylish separates were bought alongside the weekly shop.
Wedding season can be expensive, not to mention the smattering of family BBQs and the odd race day, all of which seem to require a brand new outfit. But luckily for us, Tu clothing have some great outfit options at incredibly low prices.
"Tu clothing goes much further than you would expect supermarket fashion to," senior fashion writer at w&h, Jessica Beech, told us. "With a number of stylish pieces that could easily be mistaken for more expensive brands." Harriet Walker, fashion editor at The Times, agrees. On maternity leave, she found swapping the FW at Paris and Milan fashion week for the checkout aisle, there were still plenty on fashion finds to be had. "Supermarkets have a captive audience for their fashion ranges - shoppers are already in situ and ready to spend. But a lot of their popularity comes from the 'you'll never guess where I got this' factor. People love picking up fun clothes alongside their weekly shop. Anything to make the check-out queues more colourful!" she told woman&home.
"Tu is good at nodding to current trends without going over-board. For me, the best pieces there are easy to wear but have a bit of colour or some extra detailing that makes them feel fun."
