This scented pick is one of Digital Beauty Writer, Naomi Jamieson's, go-to fragrances all year round, she says: "YSL Libre is one of those scents that always makes me do a double-take every time I smell it. It's sweet, with opening notes of tangerine and neroli, which then give way to this calming lavender, orange blossom and white musk base. There's also a layer of vanilla that comes through, transforming this scent from sunny to a warm and cosy signature."

When do Black Friday beauty deals start?

Although Black Friday technically starts on the 29th November 2024, like previous years, we've found retailers already offering pre-Black Friday deals, such as Argos, John Lewis and Look Fantastic all boasting huge discounts on popular beauty buys - including £100 saving on Dyson's Corrale Cordless Hair Straightener. More retailers such as Sephora, Charlotte Tilbury, and Cult Beauty typically begin their Black Friday deals closer towards the annual shopping event, but we'll be sure to keep you updated as for the exact date.

Are Black Friday beauty deals better than Cyber Monday?

Collectively, throughout our years of Black Friday bargain-hunting experience, we've found most Black Friday beauty deals to be at the same reduced price during Cyber Monday. However, we noticed that many of the particularly popular beauty favourites have sold out quickly during Black Friday, so haven't always made an appearance in the Cyber Monday sales.

Are Black Friday beauty deals better than Boxing Day?

Many choose to shop the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales in the run-up to Christmas, in order to make the most of discounts on some of the best Christmas gifts for her or the best Christmas gifts for mum. Although, there are also plenty of other sales post-Black Friday that boast opportunities to bag a good deal - for example, the Boxing Day sales and Cyber Monday deals can be as good as Black Friday.

However, it is worth noting that it can be a slightly trickier task to find discounts on particularly coveted items, such as luxe hair tools and products with viral status, once the Black Friday shopping weekend is over. While we can't predict exactly what is going to be featured in each of the upcoming sales, we think the best time to snap up a real bargain (or to buy your Christmas gifts) is Cyber weekend, as retailers are likely to offer more generous discounts during the countdown to Christmas. Plus, you won't need to worry about early morning queues on Boxing Day - it's a win, win.

What Black Friday beauty deals can I expect?

Last year's Black Friday beauty deals exceeded our expectations, so if this year follows suit you can expect rare discounts on the likes of the cult classic Dyson Airwrap (which sported an £80 discount in 2023), plus many Black Friday perfume deals. Our standout fragrance deals from last year included an impressive £85 discount on our beauty editor's favourite fragrance, Baccarat Rouge and 20% off the best Chanel perfumes.

As for the best makeup and skincare deals, Glossier's Black Friday sale last year included 25% off everything across their site, which made it the perfect opportunity for purchasing beauty stocking fillers. We also saw similar discounts of 30% off at Charlotte Tilbury and Tarte, while Liz Earle sported a standout 51% off. So, it might be a good idea to start your wish list now and keep your eyes peeled for official announcements from each retailer...

What beauty brands have Black Friday sales?

You'll be pleased to know that almost all top beauty brands run Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotions, although some definitely offer deeper price discounts than others. There are a host of brands, such as Glossier, that rarely offer discounts throughout the rest of the calendar year, however, Black Friday is one of the few times of year to pick up your staple Glossier You perfume or Milky Jelly Cleanser at a reduced price. In previous years, we've also seen great savings at Charlotte Tilbury and Tarte, as well as sizeable promotions across an array of brands on retailers such as Amazon, Cult Beauty and Space NK.
