New season, new hair

Kate Middleton's caramel highlights are a lesson in two things. First, how to effortlessly switch up brunette strands as we move towards summer. Second, what to ask our stylist for when we eventually get an appointment now that hairdressers have re-opened.
The Duchess of Cambridge was last seen at Prince Philip's funeral where she made a subtle tribute to the Queen. For the moving service, the Duchess wore a chic undo in order to reveal the pearl and diamond choker gifted to her by the Queen.
But after a sombre few weeks, Duchess Catherine has now debuted a fresh cut and color while visiting an Air Cadets squadron in East London.
The Duchess is not a stranger to a new hue or style. Last year, she wowed with a lighter hair colour, changing up her signature dark locks in favor of a honey-blonde shade, which was just the right side of sun-kissed and tousled.
In recent months we've been treated to a bevy of hairstyles with the royal stamp of approval. Duchess Catherine sent fans wild with a straight hairstyle one minute, achieved only with the best hair straighteners, before reverting to Disney princess ringlets and a half ponytail for an official visit to Cardiff in December, a look no doubt recreated by many on Christmas Day. And then who can forget the moment Kate Middleton recreated her wedding day hair as she visited Westminster Abbey on the eve of her and Prince William's 10-year wedding anniversary?

We've even been given an insight into the Kiehl's hair product Kate Middleton swears by to tame frizz and prevent April showers from ruining her 'do.
And now Duchess Catherine has treated us to a perfectly trimmed ends, stellar shine and a warmer caramel tone that is edging toward auburn territory as revealed on the Kensington Royal Instagram account.
