Charlotte Tilbury's 'lucky' lipsticks have landed and they're everything we need right now
New year, new lipstick...
2021 may not have got off to the best start but Charlotte Tilbury's New Year 'lucky' lipsticks may just change all that.
“I want to empower you to be the luckiest, most beautiful version of yourself," says the make-up maestro of the three new lipsticks that launch today - Matte Revolution in Rose Wish and Lucky Cherry, and K.I.S.S.I.N.G in Sweet Blossom - all in limited-edition, gold-studded red packaging.
"The colour red has long been considered a symbol of luck and love, and I have created these gifts to bring you all a year of luck! Each lipstick is blessed with the fortune-changing magic of my hand-drawn lucky star and are embellished with my golden starburst design that radiates glowing light.”
And in keeping with 'gentle January' Tilbury has even taken the hard work out of finding the right red lipstick for your skin tone. Rather than feel overwhelmed by the rainbow of reds that exist out there, these nuanced shades quite simply flatter everyone's complexion.
If you're worrying that you can't pull off red, Tilbury has this advice: pat it on like a stain, apply to the centre of the lips and blend for a gradient look, or glide on over your favourite Lip Cheat liner for a fuller-looking pout.
The effect is sheerer and more diffused for those nervous of a bold shade.
“Lipstick is happiness in a tube, so to create my new lucky lipstick shades, I studied the colour of happy, youthful lips, and symbols of luck and love to bring you three universally-flattering red lipstick shades," Tilbury continues.

Take a lucky dip on one (or all!) of these new lipsticks:
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in Rose Wish, $37 [£28]
This muted, matte brick red, is inspired by roses. Orchid extract helps to soften and condition while 3D glowing pigments create a wash of intense colour.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution in Lucky Cherry, $37 [£28]
A matte bright cherry red, inspired by love, luck and passion. Unlike chalky matte lipsticks of old, Tilbury has formulated with oils and waxes for added glide and day-round hydration.
Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G in Sweet Blossom, $37 [£28]
A hydrating, rusty rose, inspired by cherry blossom— "a symbol of renewal and femininity,” says Tilbury. Light-diffusing pigments leave your pout looking plump and luminous, as they capture light across your lips and reflect it back out.
