Melanie Leyshon
Melanie Leyshon is an editor specialising in food, wine and health, who’s worked across leading magazines, guides, cookbooks, newspapers and websites.
Her knowledge and love of food and wine comes from working at BBC Worldwide, Time Out, Les Routiers and The Saturday Times magazine. These experiences have helped improve her own cooking, as she has gleaned advice from interviewing and meeting chefs and cooks, such as Jamie Oliver, Marcus Waring, Delia, deliciously Ella and John Torode.
More recently, Melanie has been studying wine at the Wine and Spirit Education Trust in London and has passed her WSET Level 3 Theory with distinction. As part of her wine studies, she loves to travel and explore wine regions around the world and meet producers who are creating more sustainable products and experimenting with lesser-known indigenous grapes.
Her ideal – a combination of good health, good food, good wine and good company
