Jayne has been writing about homes and gardens for 20 years and her areas of expertise include garden design, outdoor living, and renovation.
She was awarded the accolade of Garden Journalist of the Year at the Property Press Awards 2021. Shortlisted again in 2022, she was also recognized in the Lifestyle and Interiors Journalist and Sustainability Journalist categories.
A full member of the Garden Media Guild, her work is published in newspapers and magazines including Sunday Times Home, Times Bricks & Mortar, Homes & Gardens, gardeningetc.com, and Ideal Home, and she’s co-author of The Repair Shop: Life in the Barn (Kyle Books, 2022), celebrating the popular BBC restoration series.
Jayne’s own indoor and outdoor design style is eclectic and inspired by both boho English country house style and her travels; her front garden takes its brick red and bright blue cue from Le Jardin Marojelle in Marrakech, Morocco, and the back garden, on a south-facing windy Yorkshire hillside, is quite Californian when the sun shines.
