Maggie had a reading with Mia Dolan.
“Even though I'm working, I feel aimless without my kids to look after, and find myself constantly wondering about the future and what the next era of my life holds.
First time
I've never had a reading before and was half expecting a woman with flowing robes and a crystal ball, so I was relieved to find Mia looked like one of my neighbours and was as easy to talk to. When she started reading my 'aura' I did feel a bit sceptical. Apparently, mine is purple with flecks of gold, silver and pink. This was all rather vague and open to interpretation. But when Mia began the main reading my sceptisicm vanished.
A spot on reading
She said that I'd had a problem with my nervous system, triggered by a virus. That is spot on – seven years ago I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, which the specialists said was brought on by a virus. Obviously, I've been quite preoccupied by this, so I was relieved when Mia said that the worry was worse than the actual condition.
Advice
Mia talked about my kids leaving home as a chance to focus on my own life. She talked about work and said that I needed to learn to say no – which is true. She pinpointed with incredible accuracy a current situation at work. I found this insight valuable and will definitely act on her advice.
She said she could see a change of direction in the long-term, possibly involving writing. I've been wondering about finding a creative outlet so this gave me a real boost.
Mia reassured me this is a positive time for me and that I should have the courage to pursue the things that interest me. All in all, by the end of the session I started to view my empty nest as a bit of an opportunity and I felt very uplifted by the whole experience.”
