Jane Curran, w&h Food Ed writes: There's great British produce on offer in summer.
Berries - small, sweet "Gariguette" strawberries and other home-grown berries
Salad - watercress, cucumber, lettuce, fennel, chicory and carrots (delicious grated with a squeeze of lemon juice).
Veg - new potatoes from Cornwall cry out for sea salt and butter. Pak choi is great for stir-fries with a splash of soy sauce.
Fish - Mackerel and sardines for the barbie, brill and seabass to steam or bake and turbot for a treat.
Meat - Welsh lamb is so good, try studding with rosemary, garlic and anchovies to make it taste richer and meatier.
